"Everything is related to everything else, but near things are more related than distant things"
ABOUT ME
I am currently working as the GIS Manager at Cumberland County. I am tech-GIS savvy with a PhD in Earth Sciences/Urban Planning. I serve on the ITS management team and the DEI Advisory Committee. I manage a team of GIS professionals who provide a variety of geospatial services to internal and public users throughout the county, and North Carolina. My extensive experience in both academia and industry has honed my skills to think outside of the box and to bring cutting-edge knowledge and technology to the county’s GIS.
I am also a reviewer of high-impact academic journals, including TGIS-Transactions in GIS and Frontiers in Sustainable Cities. Previously, I served on the patents committee and worked as a university lecturer. Despite a busy professional schedule, I enjoy hiking and landscape photography, particularly using drones. In 2015, I was honored as the winner of the photo contest at the Indonesian Cultural Exhibition.
