Ehsan Momeni, PhD, GISP, with certifications in Leadership Essentials, Project Management Fundamentals, and Cybersecurity Fundamentals, is an IT and GIS&T leader specializing in enterprise technology, digital transformation, geospatial intelligence, and GeoAI.

Currently, he leads the enterprise geospatial ecosystem in Town of Cary, supporting more than 1,100 internal GIS users, with expertise in enterprise architecture, technology modernization, governance, cybersecurity, system integration, automation, and emerging technologies.

Previously, Dr. Momeni served as GIS Manager for Cumberland County.

He serves on the North Carolina ArcGIS Users Group (NCAUG) committee. His professional and research portfolio includes 27 peer-reviewed publications and 2 published book chapters. He also contributed to the development and implementation of award-winning technology initiatives for Cumberland County, earning 2nd place recognition in the NACo Information Technology Achievement Awards in 2024, followed by 1st place in North Carolina and 3rd place nationally in 2025.

Beyond his professional work, he enjoys hiking and landscape photography, particularly aerial photography using drones. In 2015, he was honored as the winner of the photography contest at the Indonesian Cultural Exhibition.
